Ramsey Sprint Day 5/6/2012
As with most years the bussiest day over TT, and the whole season is Ramsey Sprint Day. On both Mad Sunday and Ramsey Sprint day a special 15 minute frequency timetable requiring a turn out of 12 sets. This was a full demand of trams, and with only 11 trailers currently available one motor had to run single on each day.
Sprint Day started out with the first set off Derbycastle being 5+43 for the 09:10 Laxey turnback departure. Tram sets off Derbycastle were as follows:

Car 7 however suffered technical difficulties on its' first south bound journey, with 19+40 overtaking the tram, and car 7 being retired at Laxey. The tram was positioned on the car shed head shunt, car 1 collected 48 for the rest off it's journey, making an unusual pair. Cars 1+48 stayed in Ramsey after this, Car 1 returning solo at around 17:05. Car 7 returned to Derbycastle in the afternoon for repairs, allowing it to run a 16:15 journey from Derbycastle, and collecting 48 in Ramsey before finally terminating at about 19:10 in Douglas.
