1 Sutherland
Year- 1873
Condition- Dismantled and Stored Douglas
1 Sutherland was the IMR's first locomotive, built by Beyer Peacock along with sister locos 2 Derby and 3 Pender in 1873. Withdrawn in the mid 1960s the engine had spells on display at St Johns and Douglas before being moved to the Port Erin museum for the 1975 opening. For the 125th Celebrations 1 Sutherland was restored for use with Fenella's boiler in 1998. Once again the loco was withdrawn in 2003 and remains in dismantled condition.

4 Loch

5 Mona
Year- 1874
Condition- Withdrawn/Stored Douglas, Asbestos Problems
Along with 4 Loch Mona was delivered in 1874 for the opening of the Port Erin line. The loco spent a long life in service, being retired in 1970. The loco was previously privately owned, but has now returned to government ownership.

6 Peveril
Year- 1875
Condition- Museum Exhibit, Port Erin
6 Peveril entered service in 1875. The engine spent much of it's life on the Peel line and became known as the Peel engine. The loco spent some years in storage for some years however thanks to the IOMSRSA she was cosmetically restored and displayed at the Port Erin Museum.

7 Tynwald
Year- 1880
Condition- Frames only remained, moved to Southwold Railway 2012
7 Tynwald was delivered to the railway in 1880, withdrawn in 1947 the loco was dismantled, parts being used in other locos, including the boiler going to Sutherland. The frames however survived and was later bought by the IOMR&TPS, they were moved off island in 2012.

Fenella, named after a character in 'Peveril of the Peak', Fenella saw a long working life from construction until withdrawal in 1968 as the last small boiler loco. In 1978 she was purchased by the IOMR&TPS and was restored to service. The loco since returned to government hands.

10 G.H. Wood
Year- 1905
Condition- In Service
Spending around 70 years as one of the railways large boiler 'work horses' GH Wood was withdrawn in 1977 and stored. Thankfully 'Wood' was returned to service in 1993 and has since then returned to being a railway work-horse in regular service.

15 Caledonia

15 Caledonia (aka MNR 4) was built by Dubs of Glasgow in 1885 for the Manx Northern Railway. When taken into the IMR Fleet she became No.15 and saw scarce use until full restoration in the 1990s. 'Cale' returned to use in early 2013 after an extensive overhaul.
