Lead Up to Rush Hour 2013
It always seems to be the way with railway events that there is almost as much excitement in the days leading up to the event as there is over the event itself. First off 15 Caledonia was steamed on Wednesday 27 March in preparation. However 12 Hutchinson failed whist at Port Erin (as the Douglas loco that day), and so Caledonia was coupled onto the front of the 15:50 from Douglas, with G.H.Wood, to go and retrieve the stranded train down south. Caledonia then hauled three coaches and the out of steam Hutchinson back to Douglas. The interest of the following day was much lower key, as Fenella was steamed and used to marshal runners and wagons around Douglas yard in preparation for the Rush Hour events.
