Leyland Atlanteans
Ex- Merseyside Jumbo Atlantean 45
Or is it? Well yes and no, under Isle of Man Transport this bus was numbered both 45 and 48. This is one of a large number of large Atlanteans, 'Jumbos', purchased by Isle of Man Transport from Merseyside Public Transport in 1983/84. It was first numbered 48, however in 1991 was renumbered 45 to replace a similar vehicle. It was withdrawn from service in 1993, where it moved to England for preservation, before returning to the island in 2009.

Another of the vehicles purchased from Merseyside was MAN5539. Previously numbered 1212 in Merseyside, it was delivered with sister vehicle 48 (above) in 1984. Withdrawn in 1992 the bus spent many years outside at a farm in Cronk-y-Vody. The vehicle was moved to Jurby during 2010 where it was then stripped of parts and then scrapped.
