IMR to the rescue again, Bus Strikes Round 2
January 17th
Bus Vannin drivers once again went on strike on the afternoon of January 17th. This time the strike only lasted from 1pm-6pm on that day. Because of the short span of time more buses seemed to be running than the previous strikes. None the less both the IMR and MER jumped to work to cover bus services. The IMR once again featured a three train service, with the first ex- Douglas journey at 12:50, and 13:05 from Port Erin. However the north bound train left Port Erin late, and by Castletown was almost 25 minutes late. This delay had a knock on effect for the rest of the days trains, the south bound 'school' service arrived in Castletown around half an hour late. Trains were once again hauled by 4 Loch, 10 G.H. Wood and 12 Hutchinson.
